OBS Optical burst switching (OBS) Technique

Abstract

Optical Burst Switching (OBS) is a new technology for all optical networks using a high speed and high bandwidth, The OBS-network is highly energy-saving due to its unique characteristics. In OBS system use a separation of control plane and data plane enables resource reservation through one-way out-of-bound signaling on the control channel. In the work we describe the OBS when comparing with another optical switching technique, we described the OBS system in all optical networks, and finally we explain how the OBS work.
